Where the paths diverged.. somewhere between the dried out soil of Australia and the Baltic forests of Estonia. Milly Yencken is a softly spoken artist, retracing her ancestral roots. Her work fuses traditional techniques of animation, with contemporary methods of painting.

For her aim is to tell wordless stories, evocative and devoid of any clear narrative structures. That invites the viewer to find their own meaning, as they step outside of one world and enter (just for a little while) into another..
